With that beautiful art, I'll certainly be looking out for all 20+!įor the GUI. There are no full-screen CGs in the demo, but according to the development thread, there will be 20+ CGs. There are chibi CGs for some scenes, too, which I find super cute. As a fan of anime-style art, I find this game's visuals to be perfect for my personal preferences. I don't think I still have to say it, but I really, really like the art. However, Mikan is a character who's going to grow on you no matter how much you disliked her from the start (I really adored her near the end of the anime), so I'm hoping that Aura will be the same.Īrt-wise, well. I had a crush on Natsume back then (hey, I was also just 8-9 years old back then!) and even as a kid, I found Mikan's antics to be quite grating. (Though Mikan is only 9 years, so let's give her a break.) I really loved that anime when I was in elementary school, even though most of the time, I disliked the protagonist. Now that I think about it, she reminds me a lot of Sakura Mikan from the anime Gakuen Alice! They're both really clumsy, they both can't do most things right, and they're both just plain childish. ![]() But I'm personally averse to protagonists who are way too "stubborn" and "naive", and almost a borderline dummy. You know who I didn't like very much? Aura. To me, that's pretty intriguing, and it suggests that this story could go a lot deeper than what the cutesy premise seems to be saying. Now, it's implied that Aura has to somehow solve the mystery of the toymaker who cursed the d'Lockes. <3īy the way, the bigger story here is that the d'Lockes have a younger sister, Gold, who was turned into a lifeless doll, unlike the rest of her household who became talking plushies. Thankfully, though, the writing style is completely different, because mine has a more somber tone to it, while this one is completely cutesy- which I really loved. I would just like to point out that while I was playing the demo, I couldn't help but notice how similar it was to one of my own projects (which will be released sometime this November, haha). Instead of people, she finds moving, talking, breathing plushed toys inside. ![]() Inside the supposedly abandoned mansion, Aura is absolutely surprised when she sees people inside- oh, actually, not really. It starts raining, so when she finds a lone mansion in the middle of the dark forest, she decides to enter it, even though there are rumors regarding the said mansion. It's basically this: Aura, the protagonist, gets lost in the forest due to her own stubborness and naivete. Story-wise, I already find this visual novel really adorable. Not to mention, the pretty anime-style art adds a lot to the charm of the game, as well. As a huge (and I mean huge) fan of fairytales, I am absolutely thrilled to be playing this! It has this really fairytale-y vibe to it, which is largely due to the fact that it was inspired by Goldilocks and the Three Bears. uh, sometime soon, I believe? It's been in development for more than a year and a half now, and as a matter of fact, I've been looking forward to playing the game since (the actual date I commented on the development thread of this project, haha.) Hi guys, so, it's another demo review! This time, the game is Locked Heart, a sort of cutesy, fantasy otome that's set to be released. Join Aura as she struggles to find out the truth behind the curse and break it. Until one day, a girl named Aura stumbles across the house, and is greeted by a family of. ![]() Seven years later, their mansion remains standing in the dark forest with no signs of life inside. Once upon a time, the d'Lockes, a prestigious family, became the receivers of a terrible curse. ![]() This should list ACPI, BOOT and other Clover folders. then use Finder to copy whole /EFI folder to EFI volume \ ![]() it should appear in Finder as EFI volume \ To mount it (where /dev/diskXs1 is EFI partition device). > sudo mount -t msdos /dev/diskXs1 /Volumes/efi IMPORTANT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE INSTALLER OS X MAVERICKS.APP IN YOUR APPLICATIONS. 7 : 971 Since Windows 7, however, Windows Setup creates. In much the same comforting way that we think of time as imponderably long, we consider the earth to be inconceivably large. A grain or two of sand yielded to the pressure of long years, and gravity did the rest.” It was the sudden summing-up of half a century or more of atomic changes in the material of the wall. Amid the general stillness and immobility about me, the effect was quite startling. . . . Burroughs again: “One summer day, while I was walking along the country road on the farm where I was born, a section of the stone wall opposite me, and not more than three or four yards distant, suddenly fell down. Last year, for perhaps the first time since that starved Pilgrim winter at Plymouth, America consumed more grain than it grew. In the last decade, an immense “hole” in the ozone layer has opened up above the South Pole each fall, and, according to the Worldwatch Institute, the percentage of West German forests damaged by acid rain has risen from less than ten per cent to more than fifty per cent. In the last three decades, for example, the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has increased more than ten per cent, from about three hundred and fifteen parts per million to about three hundred and fifty parts per million. But normal time seems to us immune from such huge changes. We have accepted the idea that continents can drift in the course of aeons, or that continents can die in a nuclear second. Over a lifetime or a decade or a year, big and impersonal and dramatic changes can take place. True, evolution, grinding on ever so slowly, has taken billions of years to create us from slime, but that does not mean that time always moves so ponderously. In other words, our sense of an unlimited future, which is drawn from that apparently bottomless well of the past, is a delusion. The world as we feel comfortable in it dates back to perhaps 1945. The world as we really know it dates back to the Industrial Revolution. The world as we really know it dates back to the Renaissance. And within those twelve thousand years of civilization time is not uniform. Three hundred and twenty is a large number, but not in the way that six hundred million is a large number, not inscrutably large. Three hundred and twenty generations ago, Jericho was a walled city of three thousand souls. From the work of archeologists and from accounts like those in the Bible I have some sense of daily life at least as far back as the time of the Pharaohs, which is almost half the way. And I can conceive of how most of those forebears lived. A skilled genealogist could easily get me one fiftieth of the distance back. That is, I can think back one-ninety-sixth of the way to the start of civilization. Sitting here at my desk, I can think back five generations-I have photographs of four. Using twenty-five years as a generation, that is four hundred and eighty generations ago. People began to collect in a rudimentary society in the north of Mesopotamia some twelve thousand years ago. This idea about time is essentially misleading, for the world as we know it, the world with human beings formed into some sort of civilization, is of quite comprehensible duration. Change takes unimaginable-“geologic”-time. Since even a million years is utterly unfathomable, the message is: Nothing happens quickly. The dinosaurs lived for a hundred and fifty million years. The age of the trilobites began six hundred million years ago. Our mountains have been pulverized by a process almost as slow.” We have been told that man’s tenure is as a minute to the earth’s day, but it is that vast day that has lodged in our minds. “The Orientals try to get a hint of eternity by saying that when the Himalayas have been ground to powder by allowing a gauze veil to float against them once in a thousand years, eternity will only have just begun. ![]() “So slowly, oh, so slowly, have the great changes been brought about,” John Burroughs wrote in 1912. At least since Darwin, nature writers have taken pains to stress the incomprehensible length of this path. ![]() It moves with infinite slowness through the many periods of its history, whose names we can dimly recall from high-school biology-the Cambrian, the Devonian, the Triassic, the Cretaceous, the Pleistocene. ![]() Financial Wellness and Burnout Prevention for Medical Professionals. If the option for embedded commissions is removed by the industry, it could lead to far less advice for the average Canadian. A commission-based account is often cheaper for clients that don’t trade too much and don’t need the financial planning services offered by an advisor. Many investors prefer commission-based advisors because they don’t like to write a monthly cheque to their advisor.ħ. These clients resist paying upfront fees for financial advice because they do not understand what it means to work with a financial advisor.Ħ. The other side says that embedded commissions are an important part of the business and many clients like the idea of not paying any upfront fees. Everything is embedded and it isn’t clear to them.” “Most of the time, when we look at our clients assets from other institutions, that is when they become aware they have funds linked to deferred sales charges and trailing commissions. “Trailer fees are the least understood topic for investors,” says Pramod Udiaver, chief executive officer at online portfolio manager Invisor Investment Management Inc. In fact, some experts say that banning third-party embedded commissions, including banning trailing commissions on mutual funds sold through discount brokerages and direct from the manufacturer, is long overdue. One side of the debate believes that there is an immediate need to reform mutual fund fees. Industry stakeholders are split almost down the middle on the issue. The Canadian Securities Administrators are taking a serious look into the matter and considering the possibility of banning embedded commissions or trailer fees – a move Britain and Australia have already taken. The big questions right now are whether embedded commissions should be banned altogether, have more rules and regulations attached to them or just left as they are. Segregated funds offered through Insurance companies carry similar fees.Įmbedded commissions are a very hot topic in the insurance industry right now. These services can include, answering questions about the performance of your investments and other related matters. The trailer fee compensates the advisor for ongoing service. The " I Survived" trophy is unlocked upon the completion of this scene. Delver asks her to work the night shift and learn what he has to teach her, but that the choice is ultimately hers to return to the mortuary. He states that she is the first to survive this ordeal.
